REVIVAL: The Best People

Life seems to be about the impact we make on others and the reality or delusion that we are one in a million with others. We want to surround ourselves with the BEST PEOPLE so we could somehow be apart of that group too, we want to be accepted as being one of the BEST of the BEST even if we have to ease our way into it. Acceptance is key to a world of insecurity but rather than finding those we could possibly relate to we want to associate ourselves with those BEST PEOPLE who are known in the community for being great at something. Without knowing that some of the BEST PEOPLE in our lives are already in our lives, but still we search for someone who might be out of our league or in a different mindset to accept us. Some of the BEST PEOPLE in our lives are the ones that we don't have to convince to even acknowledge us, sometimes we get in over our heads thinking the world might like us because a certain particular few do. Some of the BEST PEOPLE in our lives are the ones that'll stick around even when you fail, not the ones that'll demote you in a heartbeat if you somehow fail at something that'll make them look bad. Just because you affiliate yourself with some of the BEST PEOPLE within a certain community doesn't mean that you could shut down anybody that'll cross paths that's not the BEST. Being the BEST at something shouldn't be a title but somehow that is still misleading to be some part of high society, it's who you are not what you are. We shouldn't have to stress ourselves to be the best at something for some moment of glory just so we can be apart of the BEST PEOPLE comity? Sounds no different from the jocks, cheerleaders, and varsity jackets from high school don't it? So why are we doing it again today?

Some of the BEST PEOPLE in your life are the ones that'll stand by you through thick and thin, not the ones you have to gain.

- Notes from my old blog:
1. Dedicated to those who went through hell to try to impress others to neglect those who wouldn't leave us behind.
2. The idea sparked after I read that Shaq had a Kickstarter for a new game and one of the rewards if you paid a certain amount of money was that he'd follow you on twitter for a year. (Really? You have to pay for his friendship?)
- Not the original photo (can't remember what it was), so here's a newer one.

- Found while I was on vacation, the inspiration for another upcoming entry.
